::As a preface, I do think this is one of the better options if you have to get medical help in Laos, but if you can manage it I would fly to Bangkok instead. Doctor wouldn't believe me when I told him what happened and gave me a wrong diagnosis (which luckily I knew made no sense). Flew to Bumrungrad hospital in Bangkok and the doctor knew instantly what it was, backed it with facts and pictures, and proscribed me the correct medicine which led me to recover in a few days. My doctor at Bumrungrad also had no idea how the doctor at the French clinic came to his conclusion on the incorrect diagnosis.

::No problem scheduling a consult for later in the day. Fees start at 300000 kip for initial consult. Reasonable prices for diagnostic xray which was completed same day during the consult. Wish American med system was as straightforward.
