  I have had a friend die, thursday, I have tried to call the embassy to report the death and ask about certificate. But the numbers on the website are wrong , i keep getting the number you have dialed is incorrect. We the British tax payers are paying for this bad service, it needs someone to go in there and sort it out, i'll volunteer! Oh sorry forgot I didn't go to OXBRIDGE, I just run a successful bussiness for 30 years.

  Once again a British Embassy with zero ability to support and assist overseas residents. Registering my newborn child as a British citizen, as with all visa services is palmed away to a faceless worker in the UK - adding weeks to the application time and hundreds of pounds to the costs (courier fees etc). I struggle to understand what the embassy does beyond issuing emergency documents to holiday makers who have lost their passports and spending time hobnobbing with supposed investors. Get back to basics and support the people that you are supposedly here to represent.

  Phoned. Automated system. Put through to relavent department very quickly. Spoke to a very helpful and polite lady. She apologised for the delay in dealing with my application and dealt with it Immediately. On the phone for 10 minutes. Excellent service.

  Really, really unhelpful!! I went all.the way there to ask a question about the online form (applying for child passport). So they stuck me in a booth just inside gate .. to call up the automated embassy helpline. Ridiculous!!

  Well I arrived 20 minutes before my appointment at 8.45 seen at 9oclock not bad I'm thinking..Now I only went in for a affirmation of marriage a simple bit of paper that takes all of 5 minutes to do at the embassy.. 2.5 hrs later I managed to get it... Oh and if any embassy staff manage to read this please note if some idiot in a drunken state loses his passport then make them wait law abiding citizens put first...
