Bangkok railway station , unofficially known as Hua Lamphong station , is the main railway station in Bangkok, Thailand. It is in the center of the city in the Pathum Wan District, and is operated by the State Railway of Thailand (SRT). Located in Rama IV Rd, Pathum Wan, Bangkok, 10330. There are 14 platforms, 26 ticket booths, and two electric display boards. Hua Lamphong serves over 130 trains and approximately 60,000 passengers each day. Since 2004 the station has been connected by an underground passage to the MRT (Metropolitan Rapid Transit) subway system's Hua Lamphong MRT Station. The station is also a terminus of the Eastern and Oriental Express luxury trains. The station is scheduled to be closed in 2019, when it will be converted into a museum. The State Railway of Thailand plans to move Bangkok's central station to Bang Sue Central Station.

Main railway station. Not actually too bad. Regular trains, though ticket windows not always open. A few places for snacks as well.

Cool station. Loads of things to buy and to do. Maybe a bit old but we enjoyed being a few hours in here PS what we really didnt like was the luggage storage. Totally RIP OFF. They of course wanted more money so they said the advertisements and papers were not up to date..

Bangkok's main train station. You can catch the train to any part of Thailand from here. The air conditioner are set to below 20 degrees Celsius so it is an idea to bring a jacket if you get cold easily. Staff are friendly enough but they are by the books so don't expect information from the ticketing booth or train schedules from the information booth etc. There are fast food stalls and a food court within and nearby the station. A Black Canyon cafe on the upper floor. Public toilets are available here (bringing your own toilet paper is advised). Great place to wander into if you are heading to or from nearby Chinatown (Yowarat) even if you just want to cool off. Avoid taking the taxis outside the station cab ranks as they can be traps. Take a stroll a block away and waving down a taxi is a safer bet.
