  I went you this store today looking for an older (circa 2007) MacBook Pro charger. They did not have them but did have the newer MacBook Pro model chargers. They were extremely friendly and helped me to find a different store.

  I brought my MacBook for a trackpad and keyboard issues. They said that it's gonna take for about a week for a technician to find what is the initial problem and TWO WEEKS to get it repaired. It's a really a long time for me because I desperately needed my laptop back. But I guess it's the only place in Phuket where you can repair your Apple devices professionally, even though it's takes a lot of time for them to get it repaired.

  Although the staff is very friendly and speak excellent English, the quality of service is abysmal. I brought my computer in for a simple battery replacement, they performed this, but then told me afterward that the real issue was with my charger itself, which they would repair for an additional 1000Baht (bringing my total to around 7,000Baht). In the days immediately following, I noticed that several of my laptop's keys were no longer working, I chalked this up to having some dust or something collected under the keys and assumed I could have it cleaned out easily - I hadn't had a single issue with the computer in 5 years of use, but when the problem persisted I become more concerned. Then, less than two weeks after I had it repaired, the charger abruptly stopped working. I brought the laptop back, they told me the charger that they replaced had burned itself and likely the inside of my charging port as well, and what I had thought was dust under my keyboard was actually from water damage it could not possibly have sustained during the 10 or so days of use that I got out of it. They said to leave it and they would call me in 3 days to let me know what their conclusions were. 5 days later I had to call them, and they told me that the only problem was the charger that I would have to replace myself with no refund for the shotty repair. They refused to take any responsibility for the keyboard, and insisted that after 5 years of having no issues having one come up immediately after it being in their care must simply be a coincidence. In short, for the one problem they solved they created two others, one potentially much larger than both others combined. Unless your laptop is under warranty and it is absolutely vital that you go to a licensed apple service provider, I highly discourage anyone from going to Phuket Alpha. UPDATE: I noticed directly after writing this that Karsten Knorr, seems to have had the exact same issue with his keyboard after having his laptop serviced at Phuket Alpha, so it would appear that this is not an isolated incident. I pointed this out to them and they assured me that his had been damaged by water....the exact thing they accused me of which I know didn't happen under my care. They even had the gall to offer to fix the damage they did for an additional 8,000Baht. Seriously if you don't have a warranty to cover the damage they'll inflict, don't bring your computer there.

  Your personal experiences may vary. For 5 years that my 2 McBooks were being repaired was quite ok.
