  First of the ruined temples we visited. Quite impressive, and still being used. Probably should have spent longer here.

  Our one-day trip to ayutthaya province it was great but so hot please take an umbrella or a cab or a hat with you you can walk around text photo and climb up the stairs to make a merit at the top

  Wat Yai Jaya Mongkhon is beautiful temple located within the Autthaya historic area but outside the water ring and to the south. The temple is home to a large Chedi surrounded by many decorated Buddha statues. The best time to visit is in late afternoon to get the setting sun light which further emphasizes the Buddha statues.

  Amazing experience with an outstanding local tour guide. I have learned so much is a short trip. Such a serene and peaceful place among the crowd. Strongly recommended.

  It is an ok site to visit, just that it is a pity that it is not left and reconstructed in its original state. The ruins and missing Buddha heads does tell you a lot of history and how war has lain ruins to this place. Personally, I only like the sleeping Buddha statue and the beheaded Buddha statues around the courtyard area. It is part of the day tour, as the places are all nearby one another so yes, still a nice place to visit.
