::Amazing place on Bangkok! No, most amazing place in Bangkok! I know The Overstay 9 years already. A lot of my friends stayed there. It's not only a hostel, it's a music club and bar also. Sometimes not so clean and hot but you'll meet most interesting people in your trip. I strongly recommend Overstay.

::The overstay has a team of cleaners now; the place is better than my last visit. It's very sociable, fun, safe, and in the heart of real bangkok - away from khao san road. If you want to make new friends and do artistic stuff then the overstay is the place to go. usually a music performance every saturday that attracts locals and tourists.

::I stayed in Thailand for a whopping 26 hours and the overstay was filthy and helped make my decision to leave Thailand. Ibwas bitten by mosquitos very badly and had an allergic reaction. The only positive about this place is the Thai people that work in the bar saved a kitten from death. It was tiny and helpless and they fed, watered and sheltered the little sweetheart. But the building and location were just not my cup of tea. Even when backpacking I need to feel clean.
