  Great location by Asok BTS, but hotel quality, service, facilities are very average or below average. For the price, I’ve stayed at much better hotels in the Asoke area. Detailed review below. First impression is great, modern and chic looking reception with a small hip cafe. But hotel doesn’t stand up to further scrutiny. No facilities apart from the small cafe. Hotel is 5 floors accessible from the back of the lobby, but the lift lobby and room corridors are in a separate annex with no air conditioning. This matters because ventilation is poor and the lift lobby smells of sewage. Each floor has a similar layout with 5 rooms. Room x02 which my friend and I stayed at (in different floors) face the main road. Unfortunately it is a busy road and is noisy even at 1am. The windows are not sound proof at all. It gets even noisier at 6am onwards when traffic builds up. The curtains are not black out curtains either and it gets bright quite early. Room looked nice at first but turned out to be quite old. Wardrobe doors were creaky and coffee table’s laminate was peeling. The mini safe is a much older model than most modern hotels and didn’t work the first 2 times I tried, so had to ask receptionist to fix it. My friend’s room door couldn’t close until after a few tries, and I noticed the door issue for another room as well (knocked on the wrong door to find my friend and the door actually opened! There were guest belongings inside, so unsafe. We reported this to reception and hopefully they fixed it.) Bottled water is provided but there is no coffee or tea, and no mini bar. For bathroom, they had no mini toiletries. Just dispensers for a generic shampoo. So if you like your shampoo and soap to actually be different, you have to buy/ bring your own. King bed is actually 2 twin beds joined together, but it is very obvious where the beds joined and is uncomfortable, so I ended up sleeping only on one side of the bed. Similarly the duvet is just 2 smaller twin size sheets rather than 1 king sized one. Aircon faces the bed head on and from a close distance, so it can get too cold at night. All power sockets are the Thai 2/ 3 round pin types. No universal socket, so you’re pretty screwed if you didn’t bring your own adaptor. TV was useless for me since it had about 30 Thai channels. A couple of the channels occasionally played an English programme, and would then revert to Thai. There’s a football channel, in Thai as well. Room service wasn’t very attentive. On day 2 I realised as I entered the shower that there were no towels at all. Asked the receptionist who brought up bath towels only and no hand towels. All in all, apart from the very convenient location, my stay here wasn’t very impressive. Im not looking for 5 star service but I want a modern, fuss free hotel where things work, and Connex didn’t quite meet the cut. I probably wouldn’t come back again since there are many great hotels in the area with a similar price range.

  It was cool and down to earth interacting with the friendly staff here. I'm looking forward to eating and having a few drinks in their future alfresco area under the shade of an old huge tree. It's nice to see they kept such a beautiful tree when developing the hotel and restaurant.

  New hotel with well-equipped and modern rooms; very good location next to BTS station Asok and Metro station Sukhumvit (max 5 min walk). Since the hotel is directly next to a main road, it can be a bit noisy as already posted in other reviews. Our room in the fifth floor was ok, probably the higher it is located, the better it will be.
