Perfectly sited next to a useful stopping point for the river bus. A nice roof cafe bar and pool. I wasn't blown away by the cleanliness of my room however. I'm no fuss pot and have travelled all over Asia, often on the cheap, but if I'm paying for a hotel I don't expect others' hairs and thick dust.

Great location with lots of places to shop and eat close by. easy walking distance to the great palace. The hotel is very old and worn in decor.

Clean, comfortable, convenient and friendly hotel on the river bank. Not the place if you want the height of luxury or trendy decor, or lots of facilities, but it’s a great mid-range place to stay. Spotlessly clean rooms, crisp sheets and comfortable beds. Literally 2 paces from the Phra Athit river ferry pier, so super convenient for getting down to the Palace, Wat Pho and Wat Arun. Recommended!

Fantastic location on the river makes this a great base for exploring Bangkok. Ferry pier 13 is just on the side of the hotel and there is a street market over the road with brilliant street food and restaurants. Service and standards at the Navalai are at a very good level.

Wonderful service, amazing food in the restaurant, you get a ton of value for your money. Absolutely worth it. Rooms are nothing special but have everything you need (a couple more power outlets would be nice, though). I would definitely come back and highly recommend a stay, since the hotel is directly at the pier, from where you can get to many of the bigger sights in Bangkok by boat (between 15 and 50 Baht per trip). Even better, right next door is a terrific craft beer bar called Sheepshank.
