  The Montein Riverside is truly a Grand Dame of Thai hotels. From the time you drive up the driveway and are greeted by the doorman in traditional Thai attire to the warm welcoming smiles at the front desk, you will feel welcomed. The hotel has amazing views from the rooms, which are reasonably priced. We stayed a few times in a Deluxe Room that had a nice kingsize bed. The bathroom is elegantly decorated and everything was clean and fresh smelling, something that is not always a given in Thailand with the hot humid temperatures. So what's the catch? The Montein is not very centrally located, not near BTS or MRT. So to get anywhere you can expect to take a taxi, which are always present out front.

  Good view, breakfast was ok but not great. Had laundry done and they did a great job but it is expensive. Room is a little dated but acceptable. Water doesn't drain and is annoying. Toilet didn't flush well required flushing about 8 times to fully clear the toilet. Sink drained very slowly. This may have been an isolated event but we didn't stay long enough to request repairs if needed. We were on the 23rd floor. Cost of our room was very reasonable at $75 USD so 4 out of 5 stars because for $75 what do you expect.

  Very friendly staff, great view, spacious and clean rooms, variety in the buffet. The location though is pretty far from everything on foot and maybe even with taxi. There is shuttle bus offered by the hotel.

  Stayed for 02 nights at this hotel. Had nice experience. Rooms are quite spacious and have fantastic views of the Chao Phraya River. At breakfast time and also at lunch and dinner, there was wide spread of Vegetarian dishes. Only slight improvement need is that staff should be smiling and interactive with guests.

  Very nice hotel with great, friendly staff. Best hotel I stayed in our time in Thailand. Location is very inconvenient as far as walking distance to anything, especially downtown, but they offer a friendly shuttle to/from if you sign up on the list early ehough. Great river views and extremely comfortable in safety when seeing patrolled security, plus a check in for cars before entering. Absolutely wonderful hotel and staff, beyond great!!! Location is not ideal but they make it work. Plus a great set of gift/clothing shops on site.
