::I am not a fan of art (especially not modern art) and was dragged along by my buddies, but nonetheless I found the exhibit quite interesting. An oasis of coolness thanks to the AC. It is a bit out of the way but we got there without any problems with a taxi. Getting back was easy since the staff helped us get a cab. Without the staff's help hitching a ride would have been a nightmare.

::A great collection, fascinating, peaceful, showing extremes of contemporary Thai art from the vibrant and articulate to kitsch eroticism and a tiny but banal room of European tosh. Tough to get to (public transport to Mo Chit, then taxi - you'll need to direct your driver who has never heard of MOCA, so get your Google maps ready), but more than worth it for anyone remotely interested in art, and also a beautiful cool oasis. The cafe is naff but otherwise COME HERE!!

::The Museum Of Contemporary Art (MOCA) is an out-of-the-way gem of an art museum. The displays and the layout of the museum are top-notch. When I was there, the art consisted primarily of paintings by Thai artists and I suspect that is the normal fare. On the top floor, however, was a display of European art of the 19th century and while very nicely presented, it felt out of place with the rest of the displays. I enjoyed myself and my friends also seemed pleased. I would like to return when they have new or different paintings or sculpture to see.

::Это замечательный музей. Его правда не часто посещают туристы. А зря. Тут потрясающие картины. Их надо видеть. Я сюда иду каждый раз, как бываю в Бангкоке. На такси можно доехать быстро. А в обратный путь такси вызовут служители музея, так что не нужно платить за ожидание. И ещё - пенсионерам вход бесплатный. Имейте это в виду и захватите какой-то документ, скажем паспорт, из которого виден ваш возраст.

::We have visited MOCA several times, and taken at least two visitors to Bangkok to see this delightful art museum. It has become one of my favourite buildings in the whole world, and I take my hat off to the architects who created the wonderful spaces, riveting lines and extraordinary ambience that greet the art lover at MOCA. Some of the art on display may prove impenetrable to a non-Thai, but much of it is full of interest and of outstanding quality. I particularly love the areas dedicated to contemporary Thai art, but there are a few excellent works by foreign artists too. If you are in Bangkok for a few days, and want to get away from the crowded temples or shopping malls, this is the place to come to lift your spirits and rejuvenate your energy. What a delight!
